History

History: Since 1956, Chemist Alberto Vásquez and his wife Ángela Barreneche, owners of the San Jorge Pharmacy, attended to the health needs of the people of Cali, selling medicines, cosmetics, chemical products and developing master formulas and exclusive products that became known for their effectiveness and quality.

The growth of the business and the quality requirements for the manufacture of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products led to the creation of Laboratorio San Jorge Ltda in 2000, which began the manufacture of medicines and cosmetics formulated with Don Alberto’s pharmaceutical ancestral knowledge of natural ingredients, recognized since 1956.

The evolution of Laboratorio San Jorge to provide products that meet the highest quality standards and excellent positioning in the market resulted in a pharmaceutical plant certified in Good Manufacturing Practices to produce liquid and semi-solid topical products, a cosmetic plant with ISO 22716 certification which produces facial, body and hair products in liquid and semi-solid presentations and a master formula plant specialized in topical products.

At Laboratorio San Jorge, we innovate every day to strengthen our product portfolio with formulas that stand out for their quality and effectiveness, developed by pharmaceutical chemists who preserve the principles of using the best of science and nature in each product, providing well-being and health.

Laboratorio San Jorge has a portfolio of products specialized in skincare, with leading brands in Colombia that are sold in many pharmacies, grocery stores and specialized stores in the country, and that are projected to grow on the American continent.

Production

We have the infrastructure, and the necessary qualified equipment. Our production processes are also guided by professionals in pharmaceutical chemistry and are developed according to clearly established manuals and standard operating procedures.

Medicine laboratory:

Our laboratory is certified by INVIMA in good manufacturing practices (GMP) for non-sterile liquid and semi-solid medications and good laboratory practices (GLP) in physical and dimensional analysis.

Cosmetics laboratory:

Certified by INVIMA with production capacity for liquid and semi-solid cosmetics areas and ISO 22716:2007 standards, SGS certificate.

Area of compounded preparations and repackaging of drugs:

These areas have a certificate of technical production capacity.

Quality Policies

Quality Policy: Our quality program is directed by highly qualified personnel who guarantee the processes from the selection of suppliers, purchase of materials, production and dispatch. Our processes are permanently supervised by pharmaceutical chemists with extensive knowledge and experience. Before marketing, the product goes through rigorous analysis that certifies the quality and safety for the consumer.
